Vlsi Design of Four Quadrant Analog Multiplier for Ism Band

چکیده

Multiplier is an important block of wireless communication system. In many applications there is a need to mix the signals of different frequencies or signals of different types, which emphasises the use of mixers or multipliers for different RF applications. MOS analog multiplier with less number of transistors which can operate at ISM Band frequency with high linearity is proposed. An ISM band (2.40 GHz-2.50GHz) multiplier designed and simulated in tanner tool. The simulations results presented here are for 1GHz to 10GHz. The circuit is implemented using 180nm level 49 models and simulated in TSPICE simulator. The triode region’s transistor reduces the drain current while keeping a relatively large input range. Need of biasing is avoided by feeding the MOS with the supply which is having negative and positive supply respectively for y and x input signal.
